Smoked Cherry Boulevardier

A smoky twist on the classic Boulevardier, featuring cherry and herbal notes for depth and intrigue.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Rye Whiskey

  • 1 oz Sweet Vermouth (e.g., Carpano Antica)

  • 1 oz Campari

  • 1/4 oz Luxardo Cherry Liqueur

  • Dash of Angostura bitters

  • Smoked wood chip (e.g., cherrywood)

  • Garnish: Brandied cherry and orange peel

Chill a rocks glass.

In a mixing glass, combine rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, Campari, cherry liqueur, and bitters. Add ice and stir until well-chilled.

Place a smoking cloche over the rocks glass and smoke with cherrywood chips.

Strain the cocktail into the glass over a large ice cube.

Express an orange peel over the drink and garnish with the peel and a brandied cherry.
