Black Fig Manhattan

A seasonal twist on the Manhattan, featuring fig and warming spice notes.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Rye Whiskey (e.g., Rittenhouse)

  • 1 oz Sweet Vermouth (e.g., Cocchi Vermouth di Torino)

  • 1/4 oz Fig Syrup (black figs simmered with sugar and water, then strained)

  • Dash of Angostura Bitters

  • Dash of Orange Bitters

  • Garnish: Fresh fig slice or a Luxardo cherry

Chill a coupe glass.

In a mixing glass, combine rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, fig syrup, and bitters. Add ice and stir until well-chilled.

Strain into the chilled glass.

Garnish with a fresh fig slice or a Luxardo cherry.
