Black Fig Manhattan
A seasonal twist on the Manhattan, featuring fig and warming spice notes.
Ingredients
2 oz Rye Whiskey (e.g., Rittenhouse)
1 oz Sweet Vermouth (e.g., Cocchi Vermouth di Torino)
1/4 oz Fig Syrup (black figs simmered with sugar and water, then strained)
Dash of Angostura Bitters
Dash of Orange Bitters
Garnish: Fresh fig slice or a Luxardo cherry
Chill a coupe glass.
In a mixing glass, combine rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, fig syrup, and bitters. Add ice and stir until well-chilled.
Strain into the chilled glass.
